Insta-poll: If you were going on sabbatical for a year and could bring one cookbook with you, which one would it be?

Sun Aug 01 18:25:21 +0000 2010

Really excellent cookbook choices! I'm leaning toward the five of you who said some variant of "internet, doofus." I think that's where I am

Sun Aug 01 19:37:51 +0000 2010

Though if I were to bring one print cookbook, @edmj and @brettbobley, it would be Bittman.

Sun Aug 01 19:38:48 +0000 2010

Okay, back to packing.

Sun Aug 01 19:40:34 +0000 2010

Yeah, that's one of my favorite apps, especially standing in the grocery store thinking "what could I do with *that*?"

Replying to @mikejolk

Ooh, really? I'll go look for that; thanks!

You know, my landlord showed me this weird little alcove in my studio, called it a "kitchen." Thought I'd see how it works.

Sun Aug 01 21:37:39 +0000 2010

Replying to @edmj

Someone once asked me if I cooked. I said, well, if by that you mean do I heat food in the kitchen, sure.

All the small stuff is done. Packing is almost complete. Now, two major writing projects to finish before the summer's over. Go!

Yes, totally. Thanks for awakening the wrath of the delivery gods, man.
