Back during the polar vortex, I was supposed to give a talk at @purduefw, but windchills were below -30, and they wisely closed, and I was SO HAPPY not to have to make the drive, which had me a teeny bit anxious. +

This is painfully true across the academy. Those whose bad behavior has for too long been indulged have succeeded at enormous cost to too many others. And it’s a description as applicable to institutions as to individuals.
