I’m not sure how much of a difference it makes. Bad actors who create accounts in order to harass or threaten other users damage a community directly, but bad actors who create accounts in order to post a lot of spam undermine it in other ways.

That’s worth considering. I’ve used Apple Pay \(not Card\) for a lot of stuff precisely because it obscures the CC number. And yes, Apple knows every freaking thing I do, but I trust them a LOT more than FB.
