I’ve tried multifocals. They didn’t work for me; the sweet spot was like 8 feet away. I’ve currently got the 1 and 1, which is a reasonable compromise for everything more than 3 feet away. Until I get tired, and then I have trouble focusing.

I have read two books in the last two weeks that use the term “tribe” to stand in for “group of meaningfully connected people.” One of these books was not so great; the other is really, really good. But I keep getting kicked out of the argument by that term.
