I had the amazing privilege of spending yesterday at a retreat with the Humanities Commons team. One member was unable to join us, but 11 of us gathered to begin the process of building our future together. +

Convections changes things a lot, but is awesome. I started using convection on my oven to roast chickens this summer, and it needs a lower temp and less time and I always have to look it up. But also: faster and the house isn’t a million degrees.

Argh, super annoying! I have one ear that is stuck to my head higher than the other one is. This is not visible to anyone except when I’m wearing glasses, which are never level. I am not alone in this configuration — you’d think opticians would be prepared to deal with it!
